Biography

Andy Collins is a British cinematographer. Born in London on 15 June 1961, he trained at Leeds Polytechnic (now Leeds Beckett University) and the National Film and Television School, where he studied alongside director Mark Herman.

He has worked frequently with Herman. His credits as director of photography include the feature films Brassed Off (1996), Little Voice (1998), Purely Belter (2000) and Thunderpants (2002), and the television productions David Copperfield (1999), The Lakes (1999) and Princess of Thieves (2001). He has also contributed to series such as Afterlife (2005–2006). Collins was nominated for a BAFTA Award.
