Biography

Ángel de Andrés López was a Spanish actor. Born in Madrid in 1951, he studied law before joining the independent theatre group Tábano. He appeared on television as a child alongside his uncle, the actor Ángel de Andrés.

He worked with Pedro Almodóvar on What Have I Done to Deserve This? (1984), in which he played Antonio, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), as Police I. His film credits also include 800 Bullets (2002) and Tapas (2005). On television he was known for playing Manolo Jumilla in the series Manos a la obra (1998–2001) and its sequel.

He received Goya and Barcelona Film Award nominations. López died in Miraflores de la Sierra, Madrid, in 2016.
