Biography
Angela Alvarado, also credited as Angela Alvarado Rosa, is an American actress and director. She made her acting debut as Jan Larken in the Miami Vice episode 'Killshot' (1986). She has appeared in guest roles in television series including Dexter (2006) as Nina Batista, Grey's Anatomy (2021) as Marcella Diaz, The Mentalist (2015) as Detective Nieto, Bones (2013) as Dr Leticia Perez, Grimm (2012) and S.W.A.T. (2024) as Captain Olvera, as well as in films such as Freedom Writers (2007) and Replicas (2018).
Alvarado has directed music videos, including several for her husband, singer Draco Rosa, with whom she collaborated on the 2004 album Mad Love. They shared a Latin Grammy Award for the video 'Mas y Mas'. She is also credited with an ALMA Award nomination for her performance in the television film Hollywood Confidential (1997).
