Biography
Angela Paton was an American actress and theatre director. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 11 January 1930, she died in Oakland, California, on 26 May 2016. She had a long stage career in the San Francisco Bay Area, appearing with the American Conservatory Theater and co-founding the Berkeley Stage Company with her husband, theatre director Bob Goldsby.
Paton began screen work in her late fifties. Her film credits include an uncredited role in Dirty Harry (1971), the doctor in Flatliners (1990), Mrs. Lancaster in Groundhog Day (1993), Faye in The Wedding Singer (1998), Grandma in American Wedding (2003) and Mrs. Holmes in Lolita (1997). Television appearances include episodes of The X-Files, Grey's Anatomy and My Name Is Earl.
She also performed on Broadway, appearing in the 2012 revival of Harvey.
