Biography
Angelo Barbagallo is an Italian film producer. In 1987 he co-founded Sacher Film with director Nanni Moretti. He has produced numerous Italian features, including Moretti’s Caro diario (1993) and The Son’s Room (2001), Marco Tullio Giordana’s The Best of Youth (2003), and Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy (2010), on which he is also credited as an actor playing the translator.
Barbagallo has received five David di Donatello awards for best producer, for The Caiman (2006) among others, as well as Nastro d’Argento and Ciak d’oro awards. He is married to costume designer Maria Rita Barbera.
