Biography
Angie Xtravaganza was a performer and co-founder of the House of Xtravaganza in New York City's ball scene. She served as its mother and was a prominent figure in the city's gay ball culture during the 1980s and early 1990s.
She appeared as herself in the 1990 documentary film Paris Is Burning, directed by Jennie Livingston, which documented the ball scene and houses. Xtravaganza was born in New York City in 1964 and died there in 1993.
