Biography
Ankur Vikal is an Indian actor known for work in theatre and film. He studied architecture at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda before graduating from the National School of Drama in New Delhi in 2000. He has performed with the Motley Theatre Group in productions including Manto Ismat Haazir Hain and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.
Vikal's film roles include Riyaz Boti in Maqbool (2003), Maman in Slumdog Millionaire (2008), for which he shared a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, Shoaib in Bang Bang! (2014), Kana Commando in Paatal Lok (2020) and Umar Saif in Beast (2022). He has also appeared in the television series 24: India.
