Biography
Ann Blyth was an American actress and singer. She began performing on radio as a child and made her Broadway debut in Lillian Hellman's Watch on the Rhine in 1941. She signed with Universal Studios and made her film debut in Chip Off the Old Block (1944).
Blyth received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Veda Pierce Forrester in Mildred Pierce (1945). She appeared in a range of films through the 1950s, including Brute Force (1947), The World in His Arms (1952) and several MGM musicals such as The Great Caruso (1951), Rose Marie (1954) and Kismet (1955). Her later work included television appearances in series such as The Twilight Zone, Murder, She Wrote and Quincy, M.E. She died in 2026.
