Biography
Ann Donahue is an American television writer and producer. Born in 1955, she was raised in Ohio, graduating from Loveland High School before briefly attending Ohio State University. After moving to Los Angeles she worked as a legal assistant while writing; her 1985 play Home Fires received the Los Angeles County Cultural Award and led to television work.
Her writing credits include episodes of 21 Jump Street (1987), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) and Picket Fences, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award. With Carol Mendelsohn and Anthony E. Zuiker she co-created the CSI franchise, serving as executive producer and writer on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), CSI: Miami (2002) and CSI: NY (2004).
