Biography
Ann Dvorak (born Anna McKim) was an American actress. She appeared in child roles in silent films including Ramona (1916), credited as Baby Anna Lehr, before working as a chorus girl and dance instructor at MGM in the late 1920s. Her friend Karen Morley introduced her to producer Howard Hughes, who cast her in dramatic roles.
She gained prominence in pre-Code films such as Scarface (1932) as Paul Muni's sister Francesca 'Cesca' Camonte, Three on a Match (1932) as Vivian Revere, The Crowd Roars (1932) and Sky Devils (1932). She appeared in further films through the 1940s and into the early 1950s, retiring from the screen in 1952. Dvorak died in Honolulu in 1979.
