Biography
Anna Gulyarenko is a Russian actress and theatre pedagogue. Born on 11 June 1958 in Leningrad, she moved to Moscow in 1976 and graduated from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in 1980, studying under Oleg Tabakov.
Since 1980 she has been an actress at the Moscow Drama Theatre named after N. V. Gogol (later the Gogol Center). She has also performed with other companies including the Tabakov Theatre and the Centre for Dramaturgy and Directing, and taught acting at the Tabakov Theatre School from its founding until 2023. Gulyarenko was named Honoured Artist of Russia in 2000.
Her film and television work includes the role of Masha's mother in Loveless (2017), a part in Elena (2011), and numerous supporting roles in Russian series such as Uchilki v zakone (2020–2023). She has appeared in over 140 film and television productions since beginning her screen career in 1969.
