Biography
Anna Proclemer was an Italian stage, film and television actress and voice actress. Born in Trento on 30 May 1923, she debuted on stage in 1942 at the Rome University Theatre in a production directed by Massimo Bontempelli. She appeared in films from the 1940s onwards, sometimes credited as Anna Vivaldi.
Her film roles include the prostitute in Journey to Italy (1954), Constance Sauvage in A Quiet Place to Kill (1970), Nocio's wife in Illustrious Corpses (1976), Aurelia in No Problem (2008) and Livia Morosini in A Magnificent Haunting (2012). She maintained an extensive stage career, working with directors including Giorgio Strehler and collaborating frequently with actor Giorgio Albertazzi from 1956.
Proclemer was married to the writer Vitaliano Brancati from 1946 until his death in 1954; they had a daughter, Antonia. Her final screen performance earned her a special Globo d'oro award in 2012. She died in Rome on 25 April 2013.
