Biography
Anne Chmelewsky is a composer of music for film, television and theatre. Hailing from Paris, she trained in composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and continued her studies at the Royal College of Music, supported by an Astor Study Award. She is based in London and works as a multi-instrumentalist, originally trained on trombone and piano.
Her screen credits include the scores for Where Hands Touch (2018), Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022), The Shepherd (2023) and The Other Bennet Sister (2026). She composed the music for the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated series Derek (2013–2014). Chmelewsky has also written contemporary operas, including The Looking Screen and Pygmalion 2.0.
Her score for Where Hands Touch received a Discovery of the Year nomination at the 2019 World Soundtrack Awards.
