Biography

Anne Rice was an American writer, born Howard Allen Frances O’Brien. She wrote the novel Interview with the Vampire (1976) and adapted it for the screenplay of the 1994 film directed by Neil Jordan.

Rice is known for her Gothic fiction, particularly The Vampire Chronicles series, several of which have been adapted for film and television. Her other works adapted for screen include Queen of the Damned (2002) and Exit to Eden (1994).
