Biography
Anne Simon is an American biologist and professor of cell biology and molecular genetics at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she heads the Virology Program. She has served as science advisor on the television series The X-Files since 1994, contributing to the original run and the 2016 revival.
She received story credit (as Dr. Anne Simon) for the episode 'My Struggle II' of the 2016 revival. In 2001 she published the book The Real Science Behind the X-Files: Microbes, Meteorites and Mutants. Her father, Mayo Simon, was a screenwriter and playwright.
