Biography
Anne-Sophie Bion is a French film editor. She studied audiovisual editing at the Lycée René Cassin in Bayonne between 2001 and 2003.
She is best known for her work as editor on The Artist (2011), directed by Michel Hazanavicius, for which she shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing. She has collaborated repeatedly with Hazanavicius and with Cédric Klapisch. Her other credits include War of the Buttons (2011), Chinese Puzzle (2013), Back to Burgundy (2017) and Rise (2022), the last of which earned her a César Award nomination.
Bion previously worked as an assistant editor to Hervé Schneid. She won an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award and a Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for The Artist.
