Biography
Annie Caulfield (1959–2016) was a British playwright, screenwriter and travel writer. She began her career writing jokes for Lenny Henry and contributed episodes to television series including This Life (1997), The Real McCoy (1991–1992) and Grim Tales. She also wrote radio plays for BBC Radio 3 and 4, and stage plays such as Didn’t Die for Clean Break Theatre Company, which won a Time Out award.
Her non-fiction included travel books exploring Benin, Jordan and her native Northern Ireland, among them Irish Blood, English Heart, Ulster Fry. She made documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and appeared on programmes including From Our Own Correspondent and Crossing Continents.
