Biography
Annika Susanne Hallin is a Swedish actress. She was born on 16 February 1968 in Hägersten, Stockholm, and grew up in Spånga. She trained at the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting (Teaterhögskolan) in Stockholm from 1995 to 1999, after earlier studies at Södra Latin.
Hallin is known for playing the lawyer Annika Giannini in the 2009 Millennium film trilogy: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Other film roles include Syster Leonore in Arn: The Knight Templar (2007) and Dr Gardelius in A Day and a Half (2023). She received a Guldbagge nomination for best supporting actress for I taket lyser stjärnorna (2009).
Her career includes extensive work in Swedish theatre. She co-founded the free theatre group Teater Nova in 2001 and has appeared at venues including Stockholms stadsteater and Riksteatern. She collaborated with dramatist Lars Norén on the play Stilla vatten and was married to him from 2007 to 2013.
