Biography
Anslem Richardson is an American actor, writer, producer and visual artist of Trinidadian descent. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Creative Writing.
He began his career in Off-Off Broadway theatre and made his screen debut in the late 1990s, appearing in series such as Third Watch (1999), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) and NCIS: Los Angeles (2009–2017) as Tahir Khaled. Film roles include Black Rock (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). As a writer, he contributed to Timeless (2016–2018) and The Boys (2019–), where he also served as producer and executive story editor.
Richardson is a Writers Fellow at HBO Access and a Screenwriting Fellow at Film Independent. His screenplays have received the Tribeca All Access Creative Promise Award and the Independent Feature Project’s Gordon Parks Award for Screenwriting.
