Biography

Anthony Buckley (born 27 July 1937) is an Australian film producer and editor. After leaving school he worked at Cinesound Productions as a projectionist and assistant editor. He spent time working in Canada and Britain before returning to Australia in 1965, where he joined Ajax Films and began producing.

As an editor his credits include Age of Consent (1969), Adam's Woman (1970) and Wake in Fright (1971). He later produced feature films such as Caddie (1976), The Killing of Angel Street (1981) and Bliss (1985), as well as television mini-series including The Harp in the South (1986) and Poor Man's Orange (1987). Buckley also led the search and restoration of the original materials for Wake in Fright.
