Biography
Anthony Steven (1916–1990) was a British television scriptwriter. He began his career as a reporter on the Oxford Mail and later worked as a writer for the Crown Film Unit before joining the BBC in 1957.
Over three decades he wrote numerous television serials and adaptations of classic novels, including episodes of The Forsyte Saga (1967). His credits include work on All Creatures Great and Small (1978–1989) and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1978). In 1984 he wrote the Doctor Who serial The Twin Dilemma, the first to star Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.
