Biography
Antonio Casale (17 May 1932 – 4 February 2017) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in numerous Italian genre films, particularly spaghetti westerns, from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s, and was also credited as Anthony Vernon and Nino Casale.
He is best known for his role as the dying Bill Carson / Jackson in Sergio Leone's The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). Other credits include Duck, You Sucker (1971) as the Notary on Stagecoach, What Have You Done to Solange? (1972) as Mr. Newton, The Grand Duel (1972) as Hole, The Arena (1974) as Lucan, Autopsy (1975) as Inspector Silvestri, and Free Hand for a Tough Cop (1976) as El Greco Tomati. He also worked as an assistant director and writer on several early films.
