Biography
Antonio Casas (11 November 1911 – 14 February 1982) was a Spanish actor. He began as a professional footballer with Atlético Madrid before a knee injury ended his sporting career. He entered film in 1941 and appeared in nearly 170 film and television productions until his death.
Casas is known for roles in spaghetti westerns including Stevens in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) and Major Clyde in A Pistol for Ringo (1965), and as Don Cosme in Luis Buñuel's Tristana (1970). He also appeared in The Return of Ringo (1965) and The Colossus of Rhodes (1961). In 1963 he received the Premio del Sindicato Nacional del Espectáculo for his leading role in Nunca pasa nada.
