Biography
Antonio Musu (1916–1979) was an Italian film producer, production manager, director and screenwriter. Born in Naples, he began working in cinema in 1944 as an assistant director and from 1948 served as production manager or producer on numerous Italian films.
His production credits include In nome della legge (1949), Il cammino della speranza (1950), Kapò (1960) and La battaglia di Algeri (The Battle of Algiers, 1966). He received the Nastro d’argento for best producer for the latter in 1967. Musu also directed two feature films, Il prezzo della gloria (1955) and Totò e Marcellino (1958). He was married to actress Jone Salinas.
