Biography
Ara Celi is an American actress. Born Araceli Valdez on 31 May 1974 in El Paso, Texas, she attended J. M. Hanks High School and the University of Texas at El Paso before beginning her career with a role on a Spanish-language soap opera in Mexico.
She moved to Los Angeles and appeared in guest roles on series including Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) as Ampata Gutierrez, Nip/Tuck (2003) and All My Children (1999). Film credits include Looking for Lola (1997), American Beauty (1999) as Sale House Woman #1, From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter (1999), Bruce Almighty (2003) and Machete (2010).
Celi married financial advisor Robert Godines in 2000; they have two children and relocated to the Texas Hill Country near San Antonio in 2006.
