Biography
Arié Elmaleh is a French-Moroccan actor. He was born on 7 January 1975 in Casablanca, Morocco, and is the brother of comedian Gad Elmaleh.
He trained at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris and at the Studio d'Asnières. Elmaleh made his feature film debut in Change-moi ma vie (2001). He appeared in Chouchou (2003) and took the lead role in L'école pour tous (2006), for which he received a César nomination for Most Promising Actor.
His other film credits include Molière (2007), Depression and Friends (2012), The Brats (2013) and Animal Kingdom: Let's Go Ape (2015). He provided a voice for the animated film Persepolis (2007).
