Biography
Arinzé Kene is a Nigerian-born British actor and playwright. He was born in Lagos in 1987 and moved to London at the age of four, where he was raised in Hackney.
Kene trained initially in physiotherapy before pursuing acting full time. His screen credits include The Pass (2016), I'm Your Woman (2020), Love Again (2023), Tuesday (2024) and Lee (2024), in which he played Major Jonesy. On stage he has appeared in West End productions including The Lion King, Daddy Cool and Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, for which he received an Olivier Award nomination.
He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to drama and screenwriting.
