Biography
Arlene Donovan (15 July 1927 – 14 February 2024) was an American film producer. She began her career as a literary editor and headed the motion picture literary department at ICM in New York from 1968 to 1980, before moving into film production.
Donovan frequently collaborated with director Robert Benton. Her producing credits include Still of the Night (1982), Places in the Heart (1984), for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, Nadine (1987), Billy Bathgate (1991), Nobody's Fool (1994) and Twilight (1998). She was executive producer on The House on Carroll Street (1988).
