Biography
Arlette Langmann (born 3 April 1946) is a French screenwriter, film editor and production designer.
Born in Paris, she began working in film in the late 1960s. She has collaborated extensively as a writer and editor with Maurice Pialat on films including Loulou (1980), for which she co-wrote the screenplay, and À nos amours (1983). She has also worked frequently with her brother Claude Berri, editing Jean de Florette (1986) and co-writing Uranus (1990) and Germinal (1993), and with Philippe Garrel on several later screenplays.
Her credits as screenwriter or co-writer include Naked Childhood (1968), The Salt of Tears (2020) and The Plough (2023).
