Biography
Armand Henri Julien Thirard was a French cinematographer. Born on 25 October 1899 in Mantes-la-Jolie, he died on 12 November 1973 in Colombes.
He began his career as an actor before becoming a cinematographer in 1926. Thirard worked on more than 120 films, including The Wages of Fear (1953), Diabolique (1955), ...And God Created Woman (1956), The Truth (1960) and Jenny Lamour (1947). He collaborated frequently with directors Henri-Georges Clouzot and Julien Duvivier.
