Biography
Armelia McQueen was an American actress. She was born on 6 January 1952 in Southern Pines, North Carolina, and died on 3 October 2020 in Los Angeles, California.
McQueen trained at the HB Studio in New York. She began her career on stage, appearing in the original Broadway production of the musical Ain't Misbehavin' (1978–1982) and its 1988 revival, for which she received a Theatre World Award. Her film roles include Sparkle (1976), Action Jackson (1988) and Ghost (1990), in which she played Oda Mae's sister.
On television she portrayed the Red Queen in the Disney series Adventures in Wonderland (1992–1994) and appeared in episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hart of Dixie and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
