Arsema Thomas gives capable women a convincing vulnerability, even when the script supplies little character. We rate her ability to make us care about someone in danger; the writing in Fall 2: Deadpoint does not always deserve her.

In Fall 2: Deadpoint (2026), Arsema Thomas makes the climbing matter even when the conversations get in the way. As Luce, she has to hold our attention with little character beyond the demands of the predicament. We flinched at the climbing because she made us care about the person at risk. It is a decent thriller for those who like heights to make them uneasy, and Thomas is a considerable part of why it remains worth their time.
Her feature debut was as Rebecca in Redeeming Love (2022), before her breakthrough as Young Agatha Danbury in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023). Danbury gave her a woman whose independence could coexist with vulnerability, qualities that suit her emotionally grounded approach. Mali, her leading role in the contemporary romance She Taught Love (2024), took that approach out of period drama. These parts suggest a useful strength: she can let a woman seem capable without making her seem beyond hurt.
Her partnership with Harriet Slater, playing Jax Hunter in Fall 2: Deadpoint, is a good reason to stay with that film. Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann give the women ingenuity, but too little to play beyond the conflicts needed to complicate their predicament. Slater and Thomas keep the practical business of getting across dangerous terrain involving. They cannot do as much for the basic dialogue or the recycled conflict. The interruptions matter: just as the performances have made us anxious for these women, the writing gives us a chance to stop worrying.
We would resist treating each change of genre as proof of her ability. The more persuasive evidence is the work she does when a script offers her so little help, though there is a limit to how often we want to watch an actor compensate for that. Luce gives us reason to follow Thomas into another film, not to recommend this one without reservations. Next time, a character with as much care spent on her dialogue as on her predicament would be welcome.

Arsema Thomas is an American actress. She was born on 19 June 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Thomas grew up across several countries in sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and a master's degree from Yale University, and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating in 2022.
Her screen credits include Rebecca in Redeeming Love (2022), Young Agatha Danbury in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023), Mali in She Taught Love (2024), and Luce in Fall 2: Deadpoint (2026). She has also appeared on stage in productions including Poor Clare.
