Biography
Arthur William Rowe was an American screenwriter and television producer. Born in Los Angeles on 26 September 1923, he served in the US Marine Corps in the South Pacific during the Second World War. After the war he began writing comedy material for radio shows hosted by Eddie Cantor and Jack Benny.
Rowe wrote episodes for numerous television series, including Gunsmoke, Mission: Impossible (1967), The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Kolchak: The Night Stalker and Starsky & Hutch. He also wrote the screenplays for the feature films Zeppelin (1971) and The Magnificent Seven Ride! (1972), and served as producer on 137 episodes of Fantasy Island while writing 13 of them. He died in Beverly Hills on 8 August 1998.
