Biography
Ashley Judd is an American actress. Born Ashley Tyler Ciminella on 19 April 1968 in Granada Hills, California, she is the daughter of country singer Naomi Judd and half-sister of singer Wynonna Judd. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1990 with a degree in French.
Judd began her screen career in the early 1990s and gained attention for her performance in the independent film Ruby in Paradise (1993). She is known for roles including Charlene Shiherlis in Heat (1995), Carla Brigance in A Time to Kill (1996), Dr Kate McTiernan in Kiss the Girls (1997), and Natalie Prior in the Divergent film series (2014–2016). She has also appeared in television series such as Twin Peaks (1990) and Berlin Station (2017–2019).
