Biography

Ashwini Kalsekar is an Indian actress who works in Hindi and Marathi film and television. She was born on 22 January 1970 in Mumbai and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mumbai in 1991. She trained in theatre from 1991 to 1994, including under actress Neena Gupta.

Kalsekar began her screen career in the mid-1990s with television serials such as Shanti and C.I.D. She gained prominence for negative roles in Ekta Kapoor productions including Kasamh Se and Jodha Akbar. In film she has appeared in supporting parts in titles such as Khakee (2004), Andhadhun (2018), Badlapur (2015), the Golmaal series, Singham Returns (2014) and Simmba (2018). Her international debut came as Queenie in the 2024 film Monkey Man.
