Biography
Aston Barrett Jr. is a Jamaican musician and actor. Born on 20 October 1990 in Kingston, he is the son of bassist Aston “Family Man” Barrett and nephew of drummer Carlton “Carly” Barrett. He has been the bandleader and drummer of The Wailers since 2016.
Barrett made his acting debut portraying his father in the 2024 film Bob Marley: One Love. He also contributed to the soundtrack, performing on keys, percussion and other instruments. As a producer he co-wrote and produced the 2020 Wailers album One World, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.
