Biography
Atanas Georgiev is a North Macedonian film editor, producer and director, primarily of documentaries. Born in 1977 in Skopje, he graduated in film and television editing from the University of Audiovisual Arts, European Film Academy ESRA in 2000. He is the owner of the production company Trice Films, based in Macedonia.
Georgiev is best known for producing and editing the documentary Honeyland (2019), directed by Ljubomir Stefanov and Tamara Kotevska, which received two Academy Award nominations. His other credits as editor or producer include Cash & Marry (2009), Avec l'amour (2017) and M (2023). He has also worked on films such as Hollywoodgate (2023) and Viktor (2024).
