Biography
Avi Lerner is an Israeli-American film producer. Born Avinoam Lerner on 13 October 1947 in Haifa, he began his career in film exhibition and distribution in Israel before moving into production.
In 1992 he co-founded Nu Image in Los Angeles with partners including Trevor Short and Danny Dimbort; the company later launched the Millennium Films label. Lerner has produced or executive-produced numerous action films, including Rambo (2008), the Expendables series (2010–2014) and the Has Fallen trilogy (2013–2019). He also served as producer on The Black Dahlia (2006).
