Biography
Awhimai Fraser is a New Zealand actor and singer. She trained at Whitireia Performing Arts and has appeared in musical theatre productions including Grease, Into the Woods and & Juliet.
Fraser is known for voicing Matangi in Disney’s Moana 2 (2024) and performing the song “Get Lost” on its soundtrack. She has also voiced characters in the Reo Māori versions of Frozen and Encanto. On screen she has played Becky Reid in Shortland Street (2018) and Chantelle in Ahikāroa (2018–2021), and appears as Māia in the children’s series Toi Time.
She is married to actor and musician James Tito.
