Biography

Jaswinder Ballu Saluja is an Indian film editor who works primarily in Hindi cinema. He has edited numerous feature films since the early 2000s, including Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Swades (2004), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Dangal (2016), Mulk (2018) and Article 15 (2019).

Saluja has no formal training in editing and is a graduate in economics from Punjabi University, Patiala (1994). He began his career editing television series, advertisements and documentaries before moving into feature films with Lagaan. He has also worked as a sound designer and producer, and edited Chinese films such as Looking Up (2019).

He received Screen Awards for Best Editing for Lagaan and Dangal, and a Filmfare nomination for Mulk. In 2018 he was selected as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the editing branch. He is the brother of director Kittu Saluja.
