Biography
Bandō Mitsugorō X (also credited as Bandō Yasosuke V) was a Japanese kabuki actor. Born Hisashi Morita on 23 January 1956 in Chūō, Tokyo, he came from a long-established family of kabuki performers and made his stage debut in 1962.
He appeared in several films, including as Mizoguchi in Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985), Toya Shimada in Love and Honor (2006), Shigeru Nogami in Kabei: Our Mother (2008) and Hori in Isoroku Yamamoto, the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet (2011). He died on 21 February 2015.
