Biography
Barbara Allyne Bennet was an American actress who worked in film, television and theatre. She appeared as a scientist in the 1988 film Mac and Me. Her television credits included guest roles in series such as The Office (2005), Shameless (2011), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Murder, She Wrote (1984), Brothers and Sisters (2006), Party of Five (1994), The Practice (1997), Felicity (1998) and Chicago Hope (1994).
Bennet trained in theatre and began her career with stage work in New York before moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s. She also held behind-the-camera roles, including production coordinator on the series Flying High and production assistant on the film The Rose (1979). She served on the national board of the Screen Actors Guild from 2005 to 2007 and provided voice work for commercials.
Bennet died in Duarte, California, in 2016.
