Biography
Barbara Krafftówna was a Polish actress who worked in theatre, film, cabaret and as a singer. She was born on 5 December 1928 in Warsaw and died on 23 January 2022.
She trained at the clandestine Dramatic Studio run by Iwo Gall during the Second World War and continued her studies after 1945. Her stage debut came in 1946 at the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdynia. She made her screen debut in 1953 and appeared in more than forty films and television productions. Among her roles were Stefka in Andrzej Wajda’s Ashes and Diamonds (1958), Felicja in Wojciech Jerzy Has’s How to Be Loved (1963), Camilla de Tormez in Has’s The Saragossa Manuscript (1965) and Honorata in the television series Four Tank-Men and a Dog (1966).
