Biography
Barret Helms, also credited as Barret Isaiah Mindell, is an American actor and television writer.
He began his career as an actor, appearing in the film Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009) as Tom Cruise, the series Unforgettable (2012) as Jeremy Hall, and One Life to Live (2011–2012) as Baz Moreau. He has also worked in short films, podcasts and as a model.
Helms holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California. He has written multiple episodes of the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias (2020–), serving as staff writer, story editor and executive story editor. He received a 2017 Voice Arts Award nomination for voice work on the podcast Powder Burns.
