Biography
Barry Crane (born Barry Cohen) was an American television director and producer. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Hollywood in the mid-1950s and changed his name for professional reasons. He began in production management before becoming an associate producer on Mission: Impossible, rising to producer for its final season, and also producing Mannix and The Magician.
Crane directed episodes of numerous series, including Mission: Impossible, Mannix, The Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man, Dallas, Hawaii Five-O, CHiPs, The Bionic Woman and Kung Fu. He was also a leading contract bridge player, winning numerous North American championships and the 1978 World Mixed Pairs title.
Crane was murdered at his home in Studio City, California, in 1985.
