Biography
Barry J. Hirsch is a film producer and entertainment lawyer. He has acted as long-time counsel to Francis Ford Coppola.
He is credited as a producer on Megalopolis (2024) and as executive producer on After Midnight (1989).
Hirsch obtained his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1957, winning the Nathan Burkan Competition for copyright law while a student. He later earned an M.A. in behavioural science from Azusa Pacific University. He received the Torch of Liberty Award from the ACLU in 1996 and Entertainment Lawyer of the Year from the Beverly Hills Bar Association in 2007.
