Biography
Barry Jossen is an American television and film producer and executive. He began his career as a production assistant in the early 1980s and later worked as a producer at Lucasfilm Limited and head of production at DreamWorks Television.
Jossen has held senior executive positions including head of ABC Studios, where he oversaw series such as Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, and founded the boutique studio ABC Signature. He joined A+E Networks in 2014 as Executive Vice President of A+E Studios and is now President and Head of A+E Studios, overseeing its scripted productions.
His producing credits include My So-Called Life (1994), Miami Rhapsody (1995), Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco (1996), Sex and the City (as co-executive producer), Roots (2016) and The Lincoln Lawyer (2022). He won an Academy Award for the short film Dear Diary (1996) and received three Emmy nominations.
