Biography
Barry Morrow is an American screenwriter and producer. He wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay for the 1988 film Rain Man with Ronald Bass.
Born in Austin, Minnesota, Morrow studied at St. Olaf College. He began his career writing for television, including the 1981 film Bill and its 1983 sequel Bill: On His Own, both inspired by his friendship with Bill Sackter. His other credits include Race the Sun (1996) and Remember Sunday (2013).
Morrow received an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Rain Man. He has also worked as a producer and is the father of animator Clayton Morrow.
