Barry Swimar is a producer. He served as co-producer on the documentary Paris Is Burning (1991), directed by Jennie Livingston.

Swimar was also producer on the feature film The Watermelon Woman (1997), directed by Cheryl Dunye, in which he additionally appeared as an actor.
