Biography
Bart Freundlich is an American film and television director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on 17 January 1970 in New York City and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a double major in Cinema Studies and Film and Television Production.
Freundlich began with short films including A Dog Race in Alaska (1993) before making his feature debut with The Myth of Fingerprints (1997). His subsequent films include Catch That Kid (2004), Trust the Man (2005), The Rebound (2009), Wolves (2016) and After the Wedding (2019). He has directed episodes of television series including Californication, Prime Suspect, Mozart in the Jungle, Believe (2014) and Little Voice (2020).
He has been married to actress Julianne Moore since 2003.
